Dumb Cooler Question

This may be a dumb question but I just got a 1080 ti for my friend extremely cheap ($200) but it has a blower-style cooler. I have a broken Gigabyte Windforce OC 1070 ti that has a functioning three fan cooler but the actually card is dead. Could I move that cooler over to the 1080 ti? Sorry if this is a stupid question for one reason or another I just cant find a straight answer online. Thanks in advance!

it might fit... but I'd rather get a aftermarket cooler from for example arctic or nzxt

A 1080ti would likely be too high powered for me to be comfortable not having direct cooling to VRMs and GGDR. Also components may block the heatsink from fitting properly.

Depending on the card, could still find a hybrid cooler. Or a open air cooler for the same board.

The 1070 and 80 should be similar. Especially if they're both FE
