I'd say get any of the Kailh BOX switches of appropriate weight or these: https://zealpc.net/products/tealios

I don't have the alt/ctrl, but on most boards the plate is held on by the switches, so you would have remove all of them to get the plate separate from the PCB.

Good linear switches choices would be Tealios, Gat reds/yellow, Cream switches, if you want them lighter you can always do a spring swap, spirt designs makes some of the best springs, so I would recommend you check those out.

I believe you can remove the integrated plate on the ctrl/alt but its quite difficult.

Here is a guide on how to do it on a K-type, the keyboard the alt and ctrl was based on.

And here's a stab mod guide

Cream switches,

Creams are not all that smooth.(better than Cherry's but not as good as Gats or BOX switches) Also because they are made of POM lube doesn't stick and coat the surfaces well so a lubeing doesn't last.

I think they're good enough for a stock switch. They're smooth enough for most people, has less wobble than gats and sound pretty nice. But if not a good switch if you wanted to mod them.

Sure they're not bad by and means. But I see not advantage to them. There are easily available alternatives that are simply better. BOX Red or Dark Yellow are better IMO and like half the price.
