H440 standoffs

I built my pc in january 2019 and i was given the H440 for free, this didn't come with screws though. i bought some standoffs but they were not screwing in. i bought some more, they fit in but they were too big. i decided to continue the built but i couldn't fit the motherboard in with the io shield so i left it. i am now upgrading my cpu so i needed a new motherboard. i am currently looking at a motherboard with a built in io shield. please can someone tell me what standoffs i need or recommend some. thanks.

I'm also confused why you need this?

Also are you looking for standoffs for the new or old mobo?

Cases and motherboards don't typically have compatibility issues with standoffs. 

I have the H440 and the standoffs came pre-installed.

You may consider looking at this post, a lot of people have taken a lot of pics inside and out of the H440 which may help your issue to determine if your standoffs are pre installed.

If not, could you provide a photograph of the standoffs that didn't fit, or better yet, the link from where you purchased them?

Most standoffs follow a standardized size and fit nearly every case and motherboard on the market.
