Fresh install is usually optimal, you can't separate the OS from the drive it's currently installed in.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

First off, welcome to the forum! 

What are the sizes of the drives? There are tools that allow you to copy over data from one drive to another, but if since it is an M.2 SSD I would recommend a fresh install. The speed difference will be significant and you can control more of what gets installed to the SSD vs the Hard drive.

If you must migrate your installation, I recommend using clonezilla, and they have an option (forget what it's called) to scale the partition sizes so the entire drive is used if that's what you need. Works well.

But as mentioned, a clean install is best if you can handle reinstalling what you need and backing up data. You should be able to just put in the same product key, and if it doesn't work just call MSFT, make sure to tell them this is the only system it's been used on, and they should make it all good
