Media keys on my keyboard don't control the right program

I'm a big spotify user and very often control it with my keyboard media keys while gaming. Lately, this hasn't worked sadly, because each time I start a youtube video or have something else that can pauze/play/skip, it hijacks my media keys, which makes me having to close all the tabs just to control spotify without a hasle. This also happens with windows media player, but with that program I can at least change which one the media keys control. With chrome (even facebook video's), for example, I can't. I've tried googling for a solution but it gave no usefull results.

So my question is: is there any way to keep my media keys fixed on spotify (without taran level of macro's)

A corsair K70 LUX. But I think this is mostly windows related, because nothing changed about my keyboard, not even an update. Also, these kind of things are generally managed by windows.

OK, I found the solution. Appearantly, chrome 73 (came out 12th of march) hijacks the media keys. I just had to disable that, but is not as straight forward as you'd think. You have to load chrome://flags/#hardware-media-key-handling and the have hardware media key handling disabled. Really stupid that google didn't give any notice of this and that it is so hard to fix if you do not know where to go.
