I'm planning on getting a new keyboard soon so I was hoping you guys could help me out.

- I want a mechanical keyboard with MX Blue's (Because I am a programmer so I type a lot plus I LOVE the clicky sound it makes ).

- I DON'T want G-Keys/Macro-keys(Simply because I don't plan on using them).

- Num Pad is optional.

I am not sure about getting one with back light, I can type blind so it would just be to show off how awesome it looks.

My budget is about 100 euro's(125 USD).

Ofcourse a backlit, how can you show off your setup ever without having a backlit keyboard?!

Thanks, that helps a lot. Any suggestions?

If you want to be cheap though non-backlit are usually cheaper.

For me the Ducky Zero is a good price for what it is... :)

Maybe Ducky DK2108S Shine Zero Mech Keyboard Blue LED Cherry Blue.
Its $119AUD so probably heaps cheaper for you in country.

To answer the LED question, yes get them if it for aesthetics or because you can.

I highly suggest the Coolermaster Quickfire TK, I love that thing! I'm pretty sure it comes in blues but I would suggest you try out different keycaps before you uy as I though I would like blues, fully intended on buying blues, went into the shop and fell in love with browns, soooo yeh.

While I love backlit... If you have had a computer for at least a year... You should be able to touch type.

I can... but what if you're in the dark and you wan to find the % key xD The only one I can never find ;)

No but seriously I don't have a back-light... xD

Take a look at the Quickfire TK, €80 at Azerty.nl

Or the Quickfire Ultimate, if you want a full layout, but a little bit more expensive. [Amazon ships to NL]

It takes them approximately 1 to 3 months to get it back in stock. Don't feel like waiting 3 months just for them to have it in stock. Too bad my local store don't sell the MX Blue variant :(

So even if you don't type in the dark you guys are saying I should get one with backlight just because of its aesthetics.

Looks I'm gonna get a backlit keyboard then :)

I've been typing by touch since my first "keyboarding 101" class in high school back in 1984.  They actually gave a full semester of "keyboarding" where we were taught and tested in touch typing using IBM Selectric typewriters.

But I never had a backlit keyboard until I got my macbook pro in 2009.  The backlight has since broken on that laptop.  But I always now prefer to have a backlit keyboard.  It is not necessary, but it definitely helps.  IMHO

nope, no troll.

My desk has a slight overhang on the monitor stand part, and I stuck a led strip there to shine down on my keyboard.

I had extra led strip so I stuck a cable around and put the rest behind my monitor for this effect.
