So I'm trying to figure out what I should upgrade on my PC. Ran a benchmark and I feel my scores used to be much higher and my FPS in games seems as if it's dropped as well. Anyone have a recommendation on what should get replaced and to what I have nearly no budget to work off of. On a side note as well during large downloads my PC develops a stutter causing visible pausing during videos and even just moving the mouse around. I had some power issues for a while in Japan after I built it and the power in the room would be shut off by other people trying to mess with my roommate also had a water leak that shorted out the power strip my second monitor was plugged into frying the monitor and the HDMI port it was connected to has yet to ever work since. I'm currently using a DVI to HDMI adapter to use my computer.

Several things could lead to this, as new games are coming more power munching, I suggest you get a newer motherboard or a newer GPU. This could also lead to software, do you have any antivirus?

I run 2 separate antivirus's, yes I know that's not really recommended fully but it makes me feel better that and neither conflict with each other. Using Zonealarm and AVG both free versions.

Ok, so take it from me, I had McAfee and when I went to uninstalled it, it worked. oh i wish that were true. It stayed on the pc always running and I could never close it, so I reset the hard drive and it was brand new. It could also be your hard drive slowing down.
