GPU Power drops causing huge frametimes

Marko96

This issue occurred day one. In games it doesn't matter what resolution or graphical settings I use, there is always stuttering

Spec:

Motherboard: Gygabite Aorus B450 Elite

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Asus Dual OC

RAM: 8GB 2400MHz BallistiX

PSU: 550W Elite V3 Cooler Master

What I've tried so far:

Rollback to 397.93 drivers

Increasing GPU power limit

Disable Game bar

I've attached 4 files in here. GPU-Z Sensor Log while running Furmark. Both normal and increased power limit while running Furmark and increased power limit while in game ( PUBG ). Frametimes can be literally insane causing a really big stutter as you can tell.

GPU-Z Sensor Log.txt

Increased power limit ingame.hml

Increased Power limit.hml

Normal power limit.hml

@Slottr sadly, yeah

@Srijan Verma bought it couple of months ago and didn’t have much time for gaming. I knew I had that issue. First time I saw it in Fortnite but then I’ve read that new patch was causing stutter for people so didn’t pay much attention until now.

One of my friends with a 1060 used to have this problem of stutter, we figured out his solution to be a lack of ram.

stuttering can be caused due to multiple reasons.
Since you said you had only 1 8gb stick maybe its what limiting you.

do one thing mid game go to the task manager and take a screenshot of your memory section maybe it is eating up your whole stick to the page memory

It's not RAM because in Furmark I have issues as well, but Furmark only uses like 100MB of RAM if that..
