hello everyone, so I recently got a pair of audio technica M-50s. sounds beautiful. i know they are not meant for bass heavy like beats, but man can they replicate it if you want to. atleast on my phone (galaxy s3)

plug them into a computer, and sounds great for games and such. listen to a bass heavy track on youtube, and they sound like crapppppp. like un-listenable. I know very little about audio, and the M-50s where my first commitment because i love music. and its only the low end that sounds bad.

my pc has realtek audio. wondering if its a driver issue, or if a amp/sound card would be a better solution. if it does involve spending any money on hardware, sub 30$ or around there please. I dont want to spend 100+ on a soundcard because it sounds perfect on my phone and tablet.

thanks!

By using Front Audio jacks they can produce Static sound due

to the cable having to go past many Noisy Electronics in the pc any pc

These are :

HDD's

SSD's

Mother Board

Gpu-Gpu's

Other cabling .

If you use the Back it will minimize this issue

Now Dust can be a common factor to this a good clean

either Can of Air or even Hand clean everything even fans is a must for

any PC's life i say 2-3months if not more ,just depends how dusty the

environment of you're home is Not saying it's a dusty house but lets face it

Every house gets dusty After vacuuming it can make more dust ...

Hope this helps. :) :) :)

The ATH-M50 is very good in my experience at picking up hum and other interference.  Even touching the tip of my 1/4" jack on my O2 produces audible static.  It's the only headphone I have that does this.

yes, you'll probably want to keep your EQ totally off first to make sure your onboard is operating properly.  If it still sounds terrible, you can try re-installing the driver which might reset a bad setting or something, but if it's something like a hum or hiss, it may very well be that your onboard is bad.

"Pardon my French but this is just about the most ignorant blanket statement I've ever read. And though this is the internet, I'm not even exaggerating."
