I currently have a x79 rig that i recently built for rendering, Photoshop, solid works etc.

My full specs are

Intel core I7 4930k

Asus Rampage IV extreme black edition

2x Gigabyte GTX 780Ti OC Windforce edition

16GB vengeance Pro Red Ram

Swiftech h320 cooler with x6 noctua nf-f12 push pull

silverstone 850w strider with some black braided cables.

Corsair Obsidian 750D

and all other fans are 14cm noctua fans

all fans use PWM mb control and speed reducers

I am going to make a few aesthetic upgrades to it because i really want to build something that looks good because i respect this hobby of computer building..

The colour scheme is black and red

the stuff i bought so far for the aesthetic upgrade

BitFenix Alchemy SATA 6GB/s braided cable 30cm - Red x4

BitFenix Alchemy Internal USB Extension 30cm - sleeved red/black

BitFenix Alchemy Internal Audio Extension Adaptor 30cm - Red

BitFenix Alchemy 2pin I/O extension 30cm - Red x4

I also got an AX 860i which i will switch with my Silverstone because I have used it for a very long time and it is starting to strain and make weird noises.

I also might switch my noctua fans for something else because they look like ass, even though they preform very well. I also ordered the red braided cables for the 860i

here are some pics

well with software control the fans are either off most of the time or run very slowly. it gives me around 45-50 idle. but when i ramp it up to 12v it idles at around 34-36. keep in mind this is with a 4.6ghz over-clock on a 4930k.

load temps are around 75-79 9 (prime95) which i kinda accept considering the machine is basically silent.

...........and yeh i was damn lucky with my silicon lottery. 1.42 volts stable with 2400 mhz ram haha

I really like your build man :D Makes me super jealous that you have that kind of money to build a system like that  <_< . Like the braided cables and the led lighting as well

(ps, you can quote what people say in their comments, just wanna let you know)

That is like my only complaint. You might wanna work a little more on your cabling. The 750D has lots of room for routing cables to the back of the motherboard and stuff. Your sli 780tis would also benefit from that better cabling as well  ;)

  • 3 months later...

After a couple of months I decided to do a few updates. I have a another project for my 750D so i decided to swap cases.

but to improve my GPU temps i decided to go get 2 Kraken G10s on the way with 2 AIOs. I could go full on water cooling but i simply dont have the time.

I also installed more ram because.........work.......
