How to hook up multiple monitors?

Cookiecrumbles222

Hey, guys, I currently have two monitors and want to add a third one, this issue is I have 2 GTX 970s and only one will let me output video (what I mean by that is if I plug into my second card, or into the mobo the monitor doesn't work) so what I'm doing is one HDMI and one DVI plug into the back of the one card but I don't have another plug for the new monitor, what can i do? thanks for the help!

you have to take them out of sli for both cards to output a signal

do you have intel? IIRC you can still use the integrated output for displays. could be wrong.

Are you using SLI or no?

If you have onboard graphics you can plug into that, you will need to enable in BIOS.

Then either get a display port to whatever adapter (might need to be an active one as you already have 2 TMDS streams), or plug it into the motherboard, and go into the BIOS and enable the intergrated GPU.  The monitor running off the motherboard will have barely any 3d performance so if you want to game on it, it isnt going to happen.
