Stupid hdmi question/software solution?

Was wondering if there is some software way on making my gpu to tv work backwards? Instead of audio coming out of tv when using normal tv like roku/netflix other built in apps audio coming out of tv speakers. To make it come out of speakers hooked up to pc.

Is there some software or is the only option a 3.5 to 3.5 dual male connection (headphone out of tv to line in on mb)?

Will hdmi arc work rather not try and mess up the gpu.
