Memory speed on Intel

Is there a difference in performance between 2400Mhz and 2666??? 

I'm planning to buy a 2666 kit of 16GB 8 x 2 memory.But I'm having second thoughts that there is no difference between 2400 and 2666 so I can save some few money. The only thing I'll be doing with my rig is light video editing, coding and gaming. No streaming because my internet sucks here in the Philippines.

if you arent running vm or some memory heavy enterprise stuff, no.

you can oc it to 2666 anyway its not like you want to upgrade to 3000+ kit.
