Hi guys!

This is my first build, I created it with the help of my boyfriend who has built his own PC. Its over my budget, Im hoping to remain around 700 CAD. What can I downgrade? And I noticed some compatibility issues, too. I'm hoping to make a decent budget gaming PC and make it somewhat aesthetic.

Here is my link:

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/Qbv96s

-I already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse and windows.

-I'm not planning to get more RAM, at least not on this build.

In a perfect world, my set up would be pink and white, but Ive seen how hard that is to find/expensive. I'm settling for mostly white with black where needed, I dont like bold colors very much.

What I have now is the ideal build of what I could ever need, but its over my budget, so Id like to cut back wherever is possible by a bit.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, advice and get some feedback! Thanks!!

Got it to 700 CAD. Had to remove the gpu and change the cpu to the 2400g. I also sneaked in a 1tb ssd and 16gb ram. It's much more balanced. You'll lose performance overall but you were never going to achieve that 700 budget with the 1060 in there anyways:

This will still game nicely at 1080p, so no problems there. You'll get a cooler paired with the 2400g so don't worry about that.

Awesome, Thanks for your response! I'm just wondering how is it possible to game without a GPU? I would be willing to downgrade the GPU, but is removing it the right choice?

The 2400g is an APU. It has a cpu and graphics in it. Here's a video from Linus if you're not sure about all this:

still above $700 :P

cut down the CPU (massively) to (try) fit the budget

This board for the solid VRM and black and red color scheme

memory that's also black and red. 8GB kits cost $30 less making them pretty bad value.

Larger SSDs are better value for money, that's why the 480gb is used while HDD got ditched.

Cheapest RX 570. I know there's the 8GB version but the RX 570 isnt really fast enough to use settings that need more than 4gb video memory. Still a bit slower than 1060 6gb but should be fine for 1080p 60fps games at medium settings.

A case that matches the colour scheme and fits everything in.

A PSU that powers everything just fine, no need to go super overboard here. Even Ryzen 7 2700X and RX 580 draws around 400w max when overclocked.

Case fans to let the case breath, the case only comes with one which is really not enough. At least use 2 case fans, one at the front one at the back.

I guess I shouldve specified color, I dislike red and black and honestly was going for white and pink in a perfect world but am settling for white and black, with pink accessories such as my mouse and such.

I don't really know much, but are you able to tell me what the frame rate would be? In maybe a medium quality?

could change colour

only use one of the memory kits, merely there to show what I would pick.

frame rate will depend on the games. csgo will do 150-200fps easily. overwatch past 120fps as well, but AC Odyssey and Far Cry 5 can only do 60fps with dips at times.
