hey guys,

i'm a last year industrial design student (at Ugent in Belgium) and i'm planning a rebuild of an old pc i have laying around. No new parts or anything (unless i can source some very cheaply). The idea is to build a design case for a HTPC/ emulator box. i'm a bit restricted by the ATX motherboard (i would prefer a smaller one like µATX). But i want some inspiration from you guys, what are cool cases you have seen or cool features i should consider?

The entire build may be a project that lasts a while ( design = a lot of work). The build will have a build log as soon as i start it, and if i do anything cool i'll make a tutorial for it.

I'm open to any style of case so please post your favorite casemods and/or features.

(ps if you want to see some of my projects visit: http://www.timothydemaegdt.portfoliobox.me/home my portfolio is a bit out of date but it shows some of my earlier projects (i've designed a magnetic audio connection, an interactive baby light, a modern grammophone,... since then).

i hope i can show some cool tricks and tips during this project :D

A case is personal. And you can use a micro ATX case inside an ATX case.
