iPhone 6S Won't Charge

Go to solution Solved by jiyeon,

I stuck a hairdryer towards my iPhone since it was freezing cold, and it started charging remarkably quickly.

Hi, so I just got my iPhone 6s back and I'm having trouble reviving it. At the moment, it's displaying nothing more than a flat battery.

How would I go about making it charge again?

Additional information:

  • It's not been used (and therefor charged) since May 2018
  • I have used both the stock Apple charger and a Native Union charger
  • I've left it to charge for at least 20 minutes

Back from where? It's probably a bad port.

Back from my closet, pretty much. I left it in its box for nearly a year.

It responds to things plugging into the port though, when I plug in, it displays the battery icon, and when I plug out, it displays that it needs plugged in.

Depending on the state of charge you left the battery in it could very likely be a toast battery and need a new one.

Try just leaving it plugged in for an hour.
