Think of it this way.

Someone in a country where its -10*c will have a totally different experience than I, in Australia who has 25-35*c daily.

Ambient temps, case cooling play a big part too...

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Probably 4.5+ ghz but it depends on your chip.

I'm moving this thread to the CPU and Motherboards section.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

NVM him, each person is different. He's probably saying its overkill for your needs.

Let alone the fact you wanna overclock to its maximum so it won't be overkill for your needs.. some people don't think that far ahead.

Have a read of this mate.

TTL overclocked the shithouse out of one, used really fast memory to boost the onboard GPU, but if your not using the GPU part of the APU, then look at the CPU tests.

If you're planning a new build, I'd suggest planning it as a whole in the New Builds and Planning section instead of asking individual questions about each part.

If so, read before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

@alexkiller74 I would suggest doing this if you haven't built it yet. It can be very helpful in spotting things that you may or may not have seen.
