$120 for something with a dedicated graphics card is hard to call a rip off. You should be able to play eSports titles, and even a fair few other games at 1080p low settings. Might struggle in some of the latest AAA games though, but for $120 you can't expect too much from it.

a 120$ gaming pc with a i5 2400, gtx 760 , 8 gb of DDR3, 500w psu and 500gb hdd (the i5 came in a optiplex btw so I have all the other parts to make it work) did I get ripped off or did I get a good deal?

consider i5 as $50 and the rest (exclude gpu) is ~$30-40.

the weakest part s the gpu, you would have to lower most setting and even resolution to maintain 30fps on most modern games.

you will need a better gpu any , very soon. so that discount the 760 to $0

Eh. The GTX 760 won't be that much slower than something like a GTX 1050. It'll be fine for light titles, and given the price of $120 including the rest of the system, you probably won't get a better GPU in that price range.

Should be fine for kids playing Fortnite. They get it for free, so they can't complain, right?... :D

That's quite a deal.

The used Dell Optiplex with an i5 or i7 of the 1155 variety here in my country sell for about $180 tor higher and that's without a video card plus only 4GB of RAM.  It gets cheaper if you buy in bulk. lol OR if comes with a Pentium, Celeron or i3 processor. SMH

CPU: Sempron 2500+ / P4 2.8E / P4 2.6C / A64 x2 4000+ / E6420 / E8500 / i5-3470 / i7-3770
GPU: TNT2 M64 / Radeon 9000 / MX 440-SE / 7300GT / Radeon 4670 / GTS 250 / Radeon 7950 / 660 Ti
