Dude, be serious, you're setting yourself up for something. An experience program but they can't simply send you the mouse? Claims to be from "Amazon 3rd Party Seller" but doesn't mention the company. Opens the email with an apology. The poor english doesn't fill me with confidence either.

Sure, but he already got the mouse.

The reason why they didn't send it directly is so that he appears as a verified buyer.

This is good because it makes the review look more legit (it's also bad because unlike the OP, many people would shill the fuck out of that mouse just because it's free).

For Sale: Meraki Bundle

iPhone Xr 128 GB Product Red - HP Spectre x360 13" (i5 - 8 GB RAM - 256 GB SSD) - HP ZBook 15v G5 15" (i7-8850H - 16 GB RAM - 512 GB SSD - NVIDIA Quadro P600)

It was definitely worth the $30 they are charging for it. Any higher would be too much though.

The scam is known as "brushing." An online seller – usually overseas – purchases their own products through fake buyer accounts they've created. The products are shipped to a real address. Then, the seller writes a positive review of their items from the fake buyer account.

"The positive reviews are like gold," retail security expert Brian Kilcourse said. "People are always looking for a new hole in the structure at Amazon to be able to put more fake positive reviews."

You might be in the beginning stages of this.

Right, because they could have given it to you to review without "verified purchase". The point of verified purchase is to show you actually bought the product on your own volition and not as a promotion. They gave you a giftcard (possibly bought with stolen credit cards?) to bypass this.

That's shady as shit. It undermines the point of verified purchase.

So, just be watchful in the future for things you didn't order.

They are already violating amazon's seller's TOS

Inappropriate email communications:

Unsolicited emails to Amazon customers (other than as necessary for order fulfillment and related customer service) and emails related to marketing communications of any kind are prohibited.

I'm a pessimist so I always assume the worst until proven otherwise. Hopefully they aren't playing some kind of long game scam. But it looks like you got it, and it must be good, just look at those sweet flames on the box!
