Cpu Change?

I was wondering can i change my cpu on my Acer aspire VX 15.

My I5 7300HQ is horrible. My gtx 1050 is running great but my cpu is horrible at games.

Technically? If you were able to confirm the BIOS supports other chips; yes.

Realistically? No. It's a BGA chip, meaning it's soldered with 1440 balls to the motherboard and soldering BGA chips is not really a DIY thing I would suggest to anyone, other than those who are professional level.

Sadly, with laptops you're kinda SOL in terms of your CPU and GPU; since those are basically not up-gradable.

You could look into lowering some CPU intensive settings in your games though.

how's that i5 horrible at games?. You shouldn't be limited by that i5 if you have an 1050.

If you are really limited (i5 running at max freq 100% usage) having dual channel fast RAM will help substancially.

I'm still puzzled by this claim though. Mind giving some examples?
