PC doesnt boot up with case closed?

Hi guys,yesterday while browsing through Facebook my PC suddenly shut down,when I tried to reboot ,it wouldn't load past ram and my keyboard didnt work in any port.The PC was working and fans were spinning.I reset the cmos and it starting working again but when I put the cover on it,the same thing happened.The computer works fully while the cover is off but as soon as I close the case it shuts down.Does anyone know why that happens?

 

 

I am not a PC expert so sorry if the answer to this is simple.
