gpu powerdraw

Is it normal for my gpu to drain so much power that task manager indicates it as dark red/ very high (while playing games)?

Task Manager doesn't show power consumption. Can you take a screenshot of what you're seeing in task manager?

Edit: Wait, are we talking about a laptop or a desktop?

Turns out new feature added in 1809. Apparently Windows still hasn't served the October 2018 update to me.

Make the task manager full screen then send a screenshot, need to be able to see the full page

Gaming puts a load on the system, so while gaming the system will consume more power which Task Manager is showing as a high power consumption. Ignore it. Pretty much useless for desktop systems. Only really useful information if you're using a laptop running on battery power and want to know what programs are draining battery.
