Alright I’m kinda getting sick of this now lol ... I mostly play in a 4k 60hz monitor because I only ply single player games .. I have it v sync on obviously in nvidia panel & in game but I always get FPS drops anyway to fix this ? It’s so annoying not even on my ps4 Pro I get drops like these ?? And if I set it to fast sync it just stutters a lot

Well lots of questions.

1.What kinda of PC setup are you using? Comparing it to your PS4 Pro is good and all but PS4 Pro isn't really 4k 60hz it just has bomb ass scaling and frame filling techniques as it'd need some serious hardware to pull off genuine 4k 60hz.

2.What quality settings do you play on your PC?

3.Is it all games or just AAA games?

Using my paycheck on computer parts and alcohol and since this is a tech form I'll help with computer stuff I guess

Well with these beefy components outputting at 4k 60 fps you definitely shouldn't be getting any problems with frame drops.

You said that you have vsync on for all these games? Have you tried turning it down or do any of these games have it set to an fps cap? Disabling vsync and making no cap on fps (or as high of fps cap as you can) will most likely fix these issues.

what kind of monitor is it? Does it support free-sync or g-sync? Using a hdmi or display port cable?

Alright so after searching a bit 2080ti is having this problem often but it seems like older posts about it. Not sure if they're still relevant. One user found this to fix their problem but you have to do it for each individual game. Give it a shot and lmk

First I went to the Nvidia control panel
Click on the "Manage 3D settings"
Then click on the "Program Settings" tab
Click the "Add" button next to the selection box and chose your game
Set "Threaded optimization" on
Set "Triple buffering" on
Set "Vertical sync" off

Then go into your game and turn vsync on
Lastly restart your computer

Like I said I found this on a decently old form but it was about someone complaining about vsync ruining their experience for games even on a 2080ti. Will it work who knows

Did you have vsync on for gta v still? Try different combination of these settings to try and see what fits best for your system.

Another thing is maybe your divers are just being stupid. Reverting to a older driver or even reinstalling your current drivers can fix your problem possibly.

And you added those games in the way I said too? You have to do it for each individual game. If that doesn't work try to turn vsync on via nvidia and off ingame. Just different combination of these settings may fix the game

So if annoying , I guess I have to use my 1440p blurry monitor now :( I think something is wrong because the div 2 was using 90% cpu usage n also. 90 gpu .. at 1440p
