First loop.

So i have never in my life put any kind of loop together to cool anything and seeing other people doing it gives me some confidence. I only dealt with AIOs the one that comes already put together. If i wanna cool my i9 9900k which loop should i get?

imo, if you don't know how to find parts for a loop, then I wouldn't built one.

 

for a 9900k w/ 5ghz OC, I'd recommend at least a 240mm medium thickness (30-35mm) rad at minimum, a 280/360 would be better.

If you just want to dip your toes in, the EK kits are a decent starting place. They are legit water loops and can be expanded and you'll learn a lot from installing it. Don't get the aluminum ones though, they won't be compatible with much of anything else out there. Aside from that, just do as much reading as possible. There are a lot of good resources out there.

Search this forum, Google and reddit for answers to specific questions.

 

EK definitely makes first time custom loops very accessible and are super helpful.

 

The build I am working on right now, I am using the EK Supremacy Evo for my 9900K.  The out of box installed jet is correct, and install is pretty straightforward.
