Question about an audio splitter

So let's say I have my computer and another computer near it. If I put an audio splitter into the audio ports of both computers, and then I would plug the splitter into 1 headset, would I be able to hear the audio from both of the computers?

 

And I'm assuming this is what I would need to buy, yes?

You should not have two inputs plugged in at the same time. It could possibly cause damage.

It will work but it is not good for your headphones, and both computers.

It will work, but I would suggest against it.

 

You'd be better off getting a external sound card that allows dual inputs, or, a sound card that allow digital in.

it should work.. but depending of the quality of the cables used one might sound better than the other.. 

 

electricity uses the least resistance path and what not ...

You shouldn't be doing this, one of the computers could pump more current to one therefore damaging it (Atleast, that's what I've read)
