Noob Question About OC

Go to solution Solved by Brooksie359,

75 isn't bad. I would just stick with the default fan curve. Setting the fan to 100% will definitely wear out the fan faster but I wouldn't set it to 100% all the time for other reasons.

Heya! just a noob questions, should i max out the fan speed whenever i OC my card and play games? or should i stick with the default fan slider? if i ran it to 100%, will it degrade my GPU fan's performance overtime? I dont mind the loud noise coming from it because i usually play games with my headset on.

I'm using Gigabyte GTX 1060 6gb Aorus card.

depends on your temps. if you're temps are ok, then leave fanprofile for what it is, if you notice that its getting to hot, maybe have it spinning at all times at like 40% or so until it reaches 55c+ and ramp up or something like that.

when on stock, my temps hovers around 50ish but not more than 60.

on OC, using default fan curve, my temps hits 60ish but not more than 75 on gaming or full load.
