So I want to play BF2 in 4k ultra. My monitor is an ultrawide 21:9 2560x1080. So to play in 4k I have to supersample. My PC is 4k ready so why do I only get 30fps when I supersample to 4k? Also, if I set the fullscreen resolution to supersample to 4k and put the resolution scale the game doesn't even work. Is that because it's running 8k from supersampling to 4k twice?

GTX 1080 Turbo

i7 6700k

32Gb Ram

I'm not sure what you mean... are you saying you set the in game resolution to 4k then also up the resolution scale slider to the right? If that's the case yeah you're rendering above 4k. Also if you're running ultra, stop. 1080 is barely a 4k capable card, and definitely not a 4k ultra capable card.

OK yes I did put the in game res and res scale slider up. So I can't run normal 4k either? what about my native with 150% scale slider.

I mean you cas run at 4k, just not ultra. Battlefront 2 isn't a demanding game, so you should be okay with 4k high. Modern games like Division 2, SOTR, Metro Exodus you'll need to either run at a lower resolution, or at low/medium settings to get 60fps.

Alright I'll try 4k high. But should I use the res slider to 200%, or in game resolution to 4k with res silder at 100%

They both do the same thing, but keep in mind that your monitor is 2560x1080, NOT 1920x1080, so you are actually rendering above 4k.

I would adjust the res slider, because that way the UI stays the same, and you can tweak it more exactly.

I only see your reply if you @ me.
