Hey!

Im building a new rig. I got a great deal for a 1070. Im planning to buy an i5 9600k to go with it. I have however no clue what ram i should get. Any recommendations?

Would this pc be decent for a 144hz 1080p Display? (still pondering on which one to get as well)

Cheers!

It'll be great for 1080p..as for RAM, if you don't care about RGB just get whatever you want as long as its DDR4, speed doesn't really matter that much for most people.. I would aim for 3000mhz as there isn't much of a price difference between it and 2400mhz.

Yeah RGB is a non factor for me it just doest appeal to me as much as a tasteful closed case. Thanks. There is a decentish deal for a 16 Gig 3000mhz crucial kit where I live I just might go for it. Thankfullly ram prices seem to be dropping.

Why not the Ryzen 7, you would have better rig, future proof with 8 cores.

That board is a bit weak though. I would go with an R7 2700 and a B450 Tomahawk for a cheaper option.
