My cpu is running at stock clock with mce disabled and stock fan configuration at high performance profiles. I currently have a -90mv core voltage offset on my cpu, in prime 95 under ftt test it reaches 81. I suspect if i put the voltage back to auto then it will go to 90 degrees. I have repasted twice with mx4 paste. I am not able to increase the offset anymore without ram going unstable and windows refusing to boot. My ram has xmp speed of 3600mhz, i suspect i will not lose much performance if i change it to 3200mhz. Would changing it to that give me more voltage room to offset the CPU? and if so how would i go about setting the profile up in the bios?

Thanks

no, Are your case fans plugged in? also, what fan speed is the h7 running at? also, is your mounting pressure good?

also, is vcore voltage on auto?

81C on a 8700k that's not delidded on fft is fine, you'll never hit fft temps in real world loads, changing ram speed will not affect your cpu oc/temps. I suspect it's something to do with the vccio/sa voltages.

Hi all case fans are plugged in. currently fan runs at 1578rpm when hitting high temps. Yes i believe so, have switched vcore to offset now and disabled xmp but on auto mode vcore can reach 1.316

thanks

I think I got close to that but then I ran into problems with xmp
