I have been thinking of actually MAKING a case as an awesome kinda recycled cans/other stuff monster. One problem though... I have no idea on how to make a case for a PC. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Also some mods for a HAF Stacker(red/black color scheme)? Thanks        -beans

Inspiration?

I'd start by just drawing diagrams of where you'd put your parts to get some ideas going. Playing with cardboard also helps.

But how do I make like the Motherboard tray and those things?

I dont know what things are needed when making a case

that is where build logs come in handy to find out how something is done.

usually there is no place to buy the finished product. it is all hand-made.

I'd search for motherboard standoff screw templates. They'll tell you the distance you'll need to mount your motherboard on the motherboard tray.

Then you measure, mark, drill and tap the panel for the standoff screws. Those templates should also tell you how big to make the hole for the I/O shield.

You can always try to PM some modders whose builds you would like to emulate or draw inspiration from. They may be able to offer you advice that's more relevant to your build.

Another option could be to buy a motherboard tray from a case manufacturer. Mountain Mods sell their motherboard trays for their PC cases as separate accessories (for spare/replacement parts, etc.) so you might be able to buy one and incorporate it into your build. But if you want it to be completely from scratch, you'll probably want to build that yourself as well.
