cant boot

Ok so i got a pc, im in the bios, but it wont let me boot from the hdd drive? help pls

i had windows os installed on the hard drive, on the other pc, now i got a new cpu and motherboard but it wont let me boot windows.

On a Asus rog strix b360-f gaming motherboard, i can find the hdd in the bios, but not able to choose to boot from it

Try removing any other drives.

its the only one, no other drives or usb sticks, empty on boot priority

See if it boots on another computer.

you probably want to reinstall, you sometimes can't just move a install to anouther computer.

its the same pc, just different motherboard and cpu

yea that can cause windows not to boot. Id do a reinstall.

Do you have another HDD?, before installing windows you may want to back up your files... And perhaps the issue is maybe UEFI boot... try legacy and then UEFI...

EDIT: Wait what windows did you had in that HDD, Ive only seen Win10 been able to sometimes boot in a different mobo...

windows 10, it was installed before, just swaped motherboard, got no other hdd.

Maybe the MBR got corrupted... Do you have acces to your ol motherboard? can you try to boot it from there?... maybe updating the mobo´s firmware...
