Alright, so this was strange as there've been no changes to my PC since I was using it last night (unless it updated without my knowledge?) but this morning I turn it on and log in. The moment I open another program it freezes, then cuts to black and stops providing power to Keyboard/Mouse/Headset, but not my phone which is still charging. I have it safely booted into safemode now with no idea what the issue is.

Safe mode works fine? Try a system restore point to about 5 days prior to your issue.
