should i do something before installing window 8.1?

Hi guys!

I have Windows 8  right now i want to upgrade it to 8.1, is there anything i should do before installing it. Like saving files or whatever...

I have a SSD and a HDD, will i run into problems?

I'm not sure but, I guess you have to backup. No?I don't know! :D

 

Anyways, TWR II is an amazing game :)

You should always have backups of your files, also you need to be fully up to date with regular Windows Updates, other than that there is noting special you need to do before upgrading to 8.1 just hit the store and go.

You should always have backups of your files, also you need to be fully up to date with regular Windows Updates, other than that there is noting special you need to do before upgrading to 8.1 just hit the store and go.

 

Is there any programs i can use? Do i need a NAS? can i backup my files on the SSD to the HDD?

It shouldn't be any problems with upgrade but personaly I always make backup.

Well that depends how much stuff do you have? If it goes wrong do you want to reimage it so it's back to the way it was before? or do you just want to backup? If it's a backup, than just backup your user profile.  

 

To image, use Acronis.

 

To backup, i use Fabs Autobackup 4.

Well that depends how much stuff do you have? If it goes wrong do you want to reimage it so it's back to the way it was before? or do you just want to backup? If it's a backup, than just backup your user profile.

Yes, thanks you. I Didn't wan't to pay for a software so i used micrsofts backup software :)
