Game Stutters

Would having more RAM get rid of stuttering in games? Or is it the VRAM that fixes that? Right now I have 8gb of RAM 

And I have an RTX 580 with 4gb of vram

What processor? Dual channel ram? what speed is the ram?

I have a Ryzen 7 2700 I’m not sure of the ram specs

Do you have two ram sticks?

 

Check speeds in task manager, if they're between 2666 and 3000 then get back here. If they're lower, either you need to change the speed in the bios to the advertised speed or the ram is too slow and you should probably buy a new kit.

 

Ryzen is dependent on fast dual channel ram.

Alright I’ll check when I can and it’s just one Ram stick

Yeah make sure you have dual channel as AMD's infinity fabric works best with it
