to my knowledge google never released/announced a single nexus phone during google I/O

compare the release dates or announcements to google I/O date (may)

for example the nexus 4 was announced on October 29 and scheduled for released on the 12th of November while all I/Os were on may

google doesn't announce nexus phones on Google I/O
