5" LCD mod inside the case

Hi there, I am doing myself inbuilt lcd display for statistics but mostly for that glamorous looks. My case is new Fractal Meshify S2. Got myself 0.5mm thick hdmi ribbon cable which will go from LCD behind motherboard, exit cable from behind I/O shield directly to motherboard HDMI. I tried to power it up and it works as expected. Now I would like to power it in such manner that would not require to route usb cables from outside to inside of case. What would happen if I just plugged that LCD using molex to usb adapter for the sake of powering it up? I don't really need touchscreen features and screen would switch off along power supply. LCD is supposed to be powered by 5v 2amp micro USB according the manual.

I think that wiring it to an internal USB 2.0 header would be better
