So l just build my very first gaming pc. But im not sure l did it correctly. Once i plugged the psu in, the gpu slots from the motherboard started lighting orange constantly. Then i went on to turn it on for the first time, and as expected, it started to do its thing, fans n all that. Then on the screen it said "New CPU. Press F1 to install" or something like that. Pressed F1 and then i lost hdmi connection. The orange light kept on going. Then i turned the PC off, cause l had no idea what i was waiting for. Thought it didnt work. Are the orange lights bad? Should l just have kept the rig on? Please help.

The orange lights may correspond to codes from your motherboard.

A pic of what you are seeing will help, as are the specs of your new system

I'm not a troubleshooting expert, but if your CPU is an APU, you could try plugging the monitor into the APU slot on the MOBO rather than on your GPU for that setup process. See if that works?

It could be that without the CPU setup, it doesn't wanna communicate with the GPU correctly, and you lose your visuals. If that's the case, removing that middleman until the configurations are in place could potentially help?
