Hi, I am planning to buy the air cooler by noctua ( nh-d14) along with fans of the same brand for mi chasis to achieve a quieter system; problem is, noctua fans (as far as I´ve read) cannot have their speed regulated. My question is, should I also buy a fan controller? If so, which one?

Thanks for your help!

Would you use a fan controller enough to warrant it?
Personally I love the idea but I don't think I'd ever use it. My dad has them on all three of his computers and I think I've seen him fiddle with the fans once.

If the alternative is having the fans running at full speed with molex connections 100% of the time, then yeah... fan controllers are great.

I have the d14 and personally I just use the MB headers, they do ramp up when the CPU is under load (I use corsair pwm fans though)

I'm getting one from Lamptron. But, they're definitely on the expensive side. Really nice build quality though.

Their other models that support fewer fans/no LCD might be cheaper.

I have the sentry mesh, it works good and it's cheap, but I rarely even change the speeds I just needed it because I didn't have enough headers for the amount of fans I wanted.
