At which price point is buying a gaming laptop have more advantage in performance, price, convenience,.... than a pc, and vice versa?

With a desktop, you can swap out parts that become obsolete or break.

Very few laptops can you do the same, unless you spend stupid amounts of money.

A better question might be thus:

What games do I play right now, what do I want to play upcoming, and are there any laptops that match the recommended specs?

The better question, is how often are you away from home. If you are a College or high school kid, than a laptop is better.

A laptop is around a 100 dollar tax on top of a traditional tower.

I like thin and light laptops from MSI and the like, as you can just use their TYPE C charger for that, your phone, headphones, etc.

I would say 1200 dollar laptops are >= 1000 Towers.

Just dont buy a Dell

i7 6700k, GTX 1080, Crucial MX 300, Maximus VII Hero, WD Blue, 16 GB RAM
