Well, I've been trying to run stuff like Audacity, but this one error is more commonplace than any other: 0xc000007b. I've tried every last trick in the book, but nothing has worked. So then, how can I solve this?

What tricks did you try? Because I have doubts you tried everything. I assume you updated .NET framework if it was not up to date ?

Well, I can see why you think that way. I didn't try every method that is listed in this article (Good gravy it's long), just the ones that rewuired minimal effort and some that required a slight amount, just not anything that would have to make me go through the dark web in a metaphoric sense.

That article does not include anything about updating .NET framework, do that.

Restarted your pc after doing that I hope?Reinstall DirectX, it helped me with that error code.If that will fail, try this article https://www.easeus.com/backup-recovery/this-application-was-unable-to-start-correctly.html

iirc you just download newest directx and repair it or update current one if it's not the newest.
