Hey guys! I feel that I'm kinda done with my ps3. So much for console gaming ... So I'm actually planning on building my own pc by next month. I'm a semi hardcore gamer and im looking for comfort, backed by performance. (I'm not a graphics renderer or anything of that sort, not even PhotoShop)

So anyways I've decided to go for An AMD build + AMD GPU. (Nvidia is just out of my budget.) and not really planning on overclocking (cuz I heard parts tend to die sooner)

So here are the components which I guess I'll be getting for the build as of now:

Processor. - AMD FX8320 black edition

GPU. . - SAPPHIRE HD7950 3GB VAPOR-X

MB. - ASRock 990FX Extreme9

CPU Cooler - Cooler-master Hyper 212 plus

RAM. - Corsair Vengeance DDR3 4GB x2

Cabinet - CM Storm STRYKER

PSU - Corsair TX 750M

HDD. - WD 1 TB ( upgrade in future)

Optical Drv. - LiteOn DVD etc

Keyboard. - Roccat isku FX

Mouse. - Roccat KONE XTD

Already having - Sony Bravia 40" EX520

So is it enough to play bigshots like Crysis3, BF, etc of 2013 games? Please note,

I don't think crossfire is required cuz no multi monitors for me. May go 3D later, not much of a chance. But what do you think?

Is the CPU sufficient? Cuz I plan on keeping this set up for a pretty long time, perhaps till crysis 4 or 5 if lucky. :P Is it really worth going for 8350???

Is the GPU good enough for running high resolution? Or should I get the base version or just the asus 7950 instead?

As for the motherboard, it's the only good looking thing with the 990fx chipset ( except the fatality and its competitors) the sabertooth seems over priced. Not fancying some blue and white plastics on my mobo in an expensive case ...

Now I'm really concerned bout the PSU.... what do you guys think?

Please temme which OS would be best.? ( win 7 vs 8)(64bit of course )

Also this is most likely gonna be a couch set up as the tv is likely to blow my eyes if I'm a feet away from it. The reason why I don't wanna get a monitor is cuz I wanna be able to view movies as well from a comfy distance .so the set up seems best, I guess. (Also note I'm an fps player)

So please please femme what you guys feel. I'd seriously appreciate if you could answer all the questions . THANKS in advance .

(Please gimme practical advice). (Don't ask me to get 4 titans into the case as my budget can't grow more than this. And I'm not in the US So no newegg or ncix)

Yeah when you overclock, your parts die in 10 years rather than 20+ years. REALLY shortens the life span :P

Your specs look fine. Though there is a lot of money that can be shaved off here and there.

However, you might want to get a real monitor. You cannot game with a TV on a PC (and have a good time). With a wired mouse and keyboard, your input delay will be almost zero. But your TV will have a delay (lag) anywhere from 10ms to 30ms. That is going to make it impossible to play any FPS games.

You CAN run a TV and monitor as dual displays. I do that, works perfect. So just have both a TV and monitor :D

The PSU is way more than enough for the specs. You can easily get away with a 500W PSU. Save some money there, but do not get a cheapy PSU.

The motherboard can be switched out for a 970FX. You will not be able to crossfire with a board like that, but will be more than enough for a single video card and save you money for that monitor.

Don't bother with an optical drive, you can install Windows with a USB drive easy. There's a guide somewhere around here I think... You are in the Guides section, not the New Builds btw :P

No one is suggesting Titans anymore. The 7990 is coming soon :D

Other than all of that, you're heading the right direction. GL

Much appreciated Wats! Couple of questions, wouldn't it be kinda bad to use an older chipset on your mobo? Thing is ppl go straight for 990fx mobos as far as I've seen on their specs. Idk I'm just saying. And yeah i know bout the lag bit. But getting a monitor would mean getting something that'd last till 3d tech as of now is outdated, so I'd have to go for those crazy 144hz asus 23 inch and so on. Wouldn't it be a strain on the eyes going 3d for over 3 hours ?

Also doooo send a pic of your build. I'd like to get some ideas. Thanks again!

well it will run fine and OCing things doesnt run down the life span much at all also the larger the display the lower the fps so 40" might slow down your Computer but probably not to much. also i would recomend getting a nzxt phantom as your case its cheap and it is an amzing case and maybe drop the HDD to 500Gb and also take the money you save from the case and invest in an ssd you wont regret it. i also dont care for asrock personally they just seem kinda meh. i would reccomend :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130637. and again with the saving INVEST IN AN SSD its a huge diffrence. also maybe get a little more RAM. other than that it looks pretty complete

3D kind of sucks right now to be kind about it. Not a lot of people are able to push a 144HZ monitor either. Just something in the 1920x1080, 23-24in range is perfect for today's games/web.

People buy 990FX boards because they think they will go for Xfire/SLI, they almost never do. Also Xfire/SLI kind of sucks too :P

I'd love to post pictures of my build, but it's far from done... There is a whole section here on the forums full of build logs you should see. Some of them are really amazing.

Thanks joe! Nzxt 410 is too much of a plastic heaven not big deal though. The major drawback I thought was that the drive door opens the wrong way, Plus I don't really have their support in the country. Hence I have to go for CM. Thanks anyways. Would you recommend win8.? It does look cool. I know no start button, but no biggie ... And if ssds just make a difference of apprx of 4 seconds in loading and booting, wouldn't wanna spend on it too much. I heard that unless you render, your apps don't feed on your ram too much, so I felt 8 gigs should be plenty. Thanks again
