Yeah you might have actually switched the cabling around. Try and switch em back if you didn't already.

I had my headphones plugged into the wrong whole lmao

Hello I built a new pc:

b450 tomahawk

2700x

windows 10 pro

i updated all the drivers on the motherboard and my teammates cannot hear me in game. I have sound coming from my headphones but my mic isn’t working. I’ve tried the other mic jack that I have on the back and that doesn’t work either

Is your microphone boost set properly? Other sound settings (in the audio control panel) set up right?

make sure that you have the mic set as the default input in your audio settings

I've had that issue when my brother used to have his webcam plugged in and I wanted to use my mic

theres line in or the microphone jack in the front of the case or the back

have you tried both jacks?

EDIT: You did I just forgot for a second..

Is your mic working in anything else? Try the windows microphone thingy that lets you record yourself.

Yeah you might have actually switched the cabling around. Try and switch em back if you didn't already.
