Making Windows 10 UI smaller.

Right-click on the taskbar and select Taskbar Settings. Then make sure that "Use small taskbar buttons" is enabled.

 

Then go to the desktop and click on an empty space on it just to make sure that nothing is selected. Then hold down CTRL and while still holding CTRL scroll down with your mouse wheel to decrease the size of all the icons on your desktop.

 

Get a more efficient start menu from http://startisback.com/ and when it's installed right-click on a blank space on the start menu and select Properties. Then make sure that the box for "Use large icons" is unchecked.

 

These things will make Windows more space efficient, and there may be other things you can do.

You can also use the CTRL + mouse scroll-wheel trick in your web browser to scale the presentation of websites. Downscaling can let you fit more on the screen.
