Hi guys, my cousin asked me if I can look for some optimal PC for non-professional editing (mostly Premiere and After Effect). His budget is around 500-700USD (2000-2500 PLN). Only parts that we can use from his old PC is case and PSU. I thought that it would be a good idea to get at least 240GB SSD for OS, software and on-going projects that he can later store on his HDDs and at least 16GB of RAM, maybe more. From my understanding, high performance GPU won't be needed, but I can be wrong, since he uses AE for some basic stuff i.e. animated texts and not for some high-quality animations. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Only 1080p footage? And no real gaming requirements?

Would probably be fine with just an R3 2200G or 2400G PC

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Mostly 1080p so that would be fine but he is a big fan of Dirt and Tomb Raider series and since Dirt Rally 2.0 came out like two weeks ago he would probably like to play it on mid/high settings. I'd say that editing is priority but if it could game a little bit within this budget it would be great.

Then you want a Ryzen 5 1600 6 core or Ryzen 7 1700 8 core with an RX 570 or RX 580

At least that's the best value hardware in the US atm.

If you can find the CPU used/working it just might work out.

Thank you very much, I'll try to price it later using shops in my country and as I said before he has PSU and case so it'll be a little bit cheaper. What if I don't find specific part? I guess that I should look for other with same/similar parameters, just wonder if there is something that is core to this build and can't be replaced. Once again I'm really grateful for your help.
