Wireless Headphone Recommendations

I'm and audiophile and do a bit of gaming. I've got a big budget (not thousands of dollars, but big regardless) and want a pair of really really good wireless headphones. Any ideas?

You can use fiio k3 or mpow adapters as a source and make any headphones wireless but aside from that Sony WH1000xm3

Good looking Sony headphone. Sound cancellation and portability weren’t something I had in mind, but they’re always a good addition I suppose. How’s the sound fidelity on it?

 

I was actually expecting a recommendation of something similar to an A50, but the sound of those suck eggs.

Never heard them myself but r/ headphones love them. But like I said you have a lot of choices if you use Bluetooth adapters give me a budget and your use case and I can give you a recommendation

I wouldn't  reccomend grabbing wireless headphones in the first place to be honest.  but if you want something similar to the a50 then grab the Audeze mobius they sound really nice. 

grabbing something like a dac like a topping D30 or schiit magni, with a JDS labs atom or a moniprice liquid spark as an amp. and pair that with any headphone you desire you will have something that sounds better than most people will ever have. my personal reccomendations just headphones I like for gaming and music. gaming only would be dt 990s ,. gaming and music hd 58x by massdrop , hifiman he 4xx or fidelio x2's.

i've heard schiit recommended again and again. I just really dont want to deal with wired headphones. i might have to if nothing sounds great.

 

havent heard of the mobius. any reviews on it and sound tests? how does it really sound?

sound isn't something I can effectively describe. at your budget you can really get a killer setup if you choose to go wired which is a shame to be honest.

How's it compare to the PXC 550, the RS 195, or the Momentum?

Ican't really say I have not heard any of those headphones before. sorry I cant be of much help. but if you have a way to acess these headphones just listen to them and for your own opinion as I don't have the same ears and preferences

they're all sennheisers. I'd like to give them a shot, I just dunno about where wireless headphone tech is at and if I should even bother with this as a whole

same here, I know they are all sennheisers. I think bluetooth as long as it's aptx sound great . my thing is I've yet to listen to wireless headphones that sound as good or as accurate as my wired setup. the beuty of headphones is every pair sounds different and you have a great starting budget to explore it takes time to find your flavor and brand of headphones. you may start off with a pair of sennheisers but end up with a monoprice headphone or start off hifimans and end up with a pair of AKG's it purely depends on you and what you like. I listen to a alot of music and also aso do a lot of gaming I use 2 pairs of headphones, hd 58x ($150) for music and a pair of DT 990($170) for gaming they use a grace design dac ($70) and a monoprice liquid spark ($100) as a amp. that's $490 and this is a mid range desktop headphone setup. my portable setup os a lot more budget but costs less than $200. now take into account how much mine is worth and your budget. if you take your time and try some headphones out that will do you better than anything I can tell you to buy
