First time building. Just finished, it posts fine, all is well, and then I notice a cable that came with my motherboard still in the box. I have no clue what it's for. Anyone have any clue?

Also, the SATA cables that came with the PSU are confusing me - there's 2 SATA power cables coming out of the PSU, but both of them have multiple SATA power connectors. I put the end of each cable into each of my drives, but it looks like I can just use 1 cable to connect both of the drives to the PSU. Would doing so give one drive more power than the other or something?

Thanks in advance, I'm a complete novice.

It converts two 6 pin GPU powers to a single 8 pin GPU power.

Not at all, connecting the SATA to your PSU will provide the line with equal power to each connector.

The SATA power cables can be use with more than one device per cable. That is why there is more on connectors on it.

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

That very much looks like a dual 6 pin to single 8 pin adapter to power your graphics card.

Thats exactly what it is.
