Firmware update bricked PC

Go to solution Solved by Lordy41,

After digging through the Bios I found that it was trying to boot from my Hard drive instead of my ssd. a simple change in boot order ended my hours of misery.

I updated my firmware through device manager. The pc asked to restart, now it won't post. nothing but a black screen. RGB, keyboard backlight, mouse, and fans work.

Windows 10 64 bit

Intel I5-6400

Nvidia GTX 970

Samsung evo 860 500gb

Tobisha DT01ACA100 1TB

hynix HMA41GU6AFR8N-TF 1X8GB

Asus G11CD

Tried it, didn't work

Hrmm Then have you tried taking out the Cmos Battery or resetting it? Generally firmware bricks are a bit harder to pinpoint the exact issue without knowing what exactly you updated. What firmware did you update?
