Gaming Laptop Cpu Heat Problems..

Hi everyone,

i have problem with my laptop GP 63 Leopard 8RF, i7-8750h.

First thing first i repasted my Laptop Thermals Paste ''Grizzly Kryonaut'' because the temps were already scary, so i managed to drop a little bit, my CPU is undervolted as well -160mV that helped a bit in idle its 35-45. But when playing this game.... this game in specific (''Star Citizen'') its like doing a Deep CPU stress test with prime 95 (No Joke) the temps get to 94C (no undervolt 98 and throttle gets on) only on CPU (GPU is at 80C), playing other games like Metro Exodus it gets around 85C on CPU (I don't know if its acceptable for a laptop) since a had custom loop PC before... so i came here to ask you guys... you probably know better then me about laptop temps.

What are the temps acceptable for a laptop CPU is constant 87C fine in and extremely heavy game?

Btw Bios is all up to date etc.

If you've undervolted and changed the thermal paste, there's not much more you can do.

 

87C under load is perfectly fine for a 6 core CPU in a semi-thin laptop, no reason to worry.

I'm getting like 84-87-92 while playing Star Citizen thats the only game that made my CPU go above 90C but mostly while playing its like a said 84-87.

I'm just not comfortable with those temps as i had a liquid cooled Pc thats it.... what aboud liquid metal?

I think liquid metal is risky for beginners, I wouldn't go down that path.

 

Don't worry too much about the temps. Even 90C is fine as long as you don't run your CPU at that temp 24/7.

Maybe like 5-8 hour a day but not every day
