So, I've just finished a day of installing, benchmarking and playing on my new RTX2080 ROG Strix edition and I love it. An absolutely banging upgrade from my GTX1070 from the same OEM. My thoughts now go to, what should my next upgrade be? I'm currently running an i7 6700k (Water cooled with a Kraken X62) on an Asrock Z170 Extreme 4, with 16bg of Hyper X Fury ram and a Samsung 850 Evo SSD alongside a 1TB 7,200rpm Seagate HDD. I'm comfortably within the power  threshold of my 650w PSU so I don't think that's an issue. Should I add in a 1TB M.2 SSD for my game storage and move them from the hard drive or do you think with a 2080 I am now approaching CPU bottleneck and should move up to the highest end i9 CPU I can afford, with potentially a new motherboard, to future proof my system? Any recommendations are welcome, maybe I should even be moving to AMD for a totally new motherboard/CPU setup? My rig is 100% for gaming and streaming games so I don't really feel I should get a new CPU unless you guys think it could end up bottlenecking my gaming performance in the future with a potential upgrade to a 2080TI or RTX Titan. If you think I am better served with an overclock, what with having a water cooled K series CPU then by all means, save me some money!

I mean I wouldn't worry about bottlenecks until you hit the point where you think you need more performance. But if you have perfect frame rates in games there's no reason to upgrade, and it doesn't sound like you need an upgrade. Just chill and once you start to experience low performance, then come back and there will be better options to choose from.

@zlolslavez I would like to improve performance personally as I think I could get playable 4K framerates on this card and CPU that I'm not currently getting, not sure how much boost I could safely get from an overclock though? Since I only have the one system that I continuously upgrade I don't want to do anything that would carry too high a risk of hurting my components.
