Hi guys,

So a friend of mine has recently built a new build which has the following:

-16gb DDR4 2400mHz Gskill Aegis which are running at default clocks;

-Ryzen 2600 stock

-RX 570 armor OC stock

- MSI B450-A-Pro

-CoolerMaster MWE 550W 80+ Bronze

-1TB HDD + 240gb SSD if that matters

The symptoms are the following:

-Random black screens via HDMI

-When he changes it to DVI, the screen goes blue

-There's also the first occurrence where the screen got green instead

-Monitor doesn't recognize the source while changing the cable after said occurrence

-He notices some grain on the black screen

Things that have been done:

-Changing from HDMI to DVI

- Using DDU to uninstall drivers and then reinstall them

The build is recent, he bought the pieces new and asked the store to build it around a week ago.

Any more options or should he RMA?

Can you try with a different device other than the monitor? That'll narrow down if its the monitor or the pc

Hi. Created an account to tell you I've tested on the TV and it worked without losing image/crashing. When switched to monitor it didn't worked immediately, but started shortly after. The thing is I turn the PC on in the morning, it loses image/crashes one time and then it's fine all day but only with the monitor using HDMI. Switching to DVI gives another color when crash is happening. Thanks.

Yesterday I noticed that, before it goes to black screen (with grain), the grain is at the windows task bar (uploaded image). Also noticed that after some tries to boot it in a way it would stay good, the lights on the keyboard didn't work, so I tried to turn some USB things off and after one try the PC worked for an hour with no problems. It's very strange. What I'm afraid is that I send it to RMA and then it will not give problems there because this is very random, but usually the problem appears only when turning it on for the first time in the day. Sunday didn't happen for instance.

Is resetting the BIOS a valid option? Also saw some things about the ram slots... What do you think?

Thanks in advance.
